Financial Services Giant are looking for a You will be working with the Data Management Lead and data Architects within the Enterprise Data team. You will be working within the Data Management Steam who are responsible for driving improvements in the way we manage, store and work with data at MetLife. The Data Management Analyst will be responsible for fulfilling reporting, deriving customer insights and fulfilling data requests from across the business with a primary focus on completing regulatory reporting. This role will include report automation where possible. You will possess strong technical, analytical and documentation skills with significant attention to detail. Previous experience in the Insurance and/or Superannuation industries is preferred.

Principal Responsibilities:

Work with the Data Management Lead to the source, extract and analyze data for regulatory reporting requests
Productionize and automate data requests where possible
Identify, analyze and address data inconsistencies
Work as a key function in the data transformation exercise at MetLife, helping MetLife staff move
from the report, producers to report consumers acting on insights

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:

Analytical mindset. Capable of breaking complex problems into parts and identify the impact of
changes on other businesses and systems
Excellent knowledge of data management and manipulation, data integration, ETL and data
cleaning skills required. Strong SQL DB2 and MSSQL skills, a good understanding of ETL – Datastage
and SSIS
Strong dashboarding and data visualization skills (Qliksense and Qliksense Admin)
Strong reporting skills (SSRS skills preferred), knowledge of Java scripts preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to understand technical and application documentation and interpret for business users
Ability to identify and differentiate between risks and issues and able to work out mitigation to
reduce risks
In-depth understanding of current Australian insurance products (particularly group insurance) e.g.
Term and trauma products, income protection products preferred
Energetic, motivated and adaptable to change
Fosters a collaborative culture with team members
Excellent prioritisation and time management skills
Able to work independently and in a team

Qualification / Experience Preferred

6+ years of experience in a similar role
Experience in the insurance industry preferred
Experience in completing regulatory reporting for APRA and ASIC preferred
