To help us on our journey we’re looking for Senior Software Engineers with a focus on Back End technologies to be part of highly focused, mission-driven teams delivering a range of solutions using emerging technologies as well facilitating ongoing enhancements to existing software. We’re looking for problem solvers who can take complex initiatives and break them down into lean deliverable milestones whilst being able to articulate and provide clarification to non-technical colleagues.

More about the ROLE:
Reporting to the Development Practice Manager, our Engineers play a key role in the architecture of solutions delivered to the business, and will be involved throughout all stages of the software development process, including consultation with stakeholders, design, implementation, testing, release and post-implementation support and maintenance. Other key focuses include:

• Agile – Teams are given the autonomy to come up with solutions & how they deliver independently in cross-functional teams
• Micro-Frontends – We’ve started breaking down our website into individually deployable components owned & supported by the team who build them
• DevOps - Creating, supporting, and monitoring the infrastructure we deploy using Amazon Web Services. All our infrastructure & deployment scripts are built, versioned & maintained by our developers. We release multiple times a day, and our teams support their own software
• Domain Driven Design – We’re in the process of breaking down our monolith to be replaced with .Net Core Microservices in an event driven architecture using a variety of tech
• A champion for continuous improvements & knowledge sharing within your team & the wider practice

  
About YOU:

Technical Skills

• At least 5 years’ experience JavaScript & Web development
• At least 2 years’ experience with a client-side JavaScript Framework
• At least 5 years’ experience in .NET development (Or another OO language)
• Highly proficient with responsive web development; cross-browser and device agnostic

Core Competencies:

• An understanding of the value & challenges in implementing Continuous Integration/Delivery
• Experience in agile methodologies and its application to the development process
• A proven track record of delivering the best solution for the task at hand, not just building the solution expected/requested
