Information Technology Services (ITS) is part of the University’s Division of Technology, Information and Library Services (TILS). ITS develops, implements, and supports applications in line with the strategic vision of the University, and provides essential underpinning services to support and deliver IT services.

As part of the Business Transformation Program, the ITS department is introducing a new organisational structure to enable QUT to readily pursue digital transformation, while also achieving an enterprise-wide, customer-focused, and responsive IT service.

The new structure will improve the technology experience of staff and students through an increased focus on user experience, testing and quality for IT solutions.

About the role

As part of a newly established team, the Solutions and Identity Operations Manager provides leadership and strategic management to technical staff to ensure the delivery of high quality, reliable and cohesive business and technical infrastructure services.

They will also develop strategies for maintaining and advancing QUT’s database infrastructure, integration technologies, solutions maintenance and support services.This will include collaboration with other senior stakeholders to jointly oversee the process of achieving the right mix of solutions operations technologies.With a strong client focus, the role will ensure the delivery of responsive support to maintain service continuity.

They will engage in the ongoing development and implementation of policies and procedures to support a shared computing resource used by the QUT community.

This role will also be actively engaged in the strategic planning, development, ongoing maintenance and communication of the QUT enterprise architecture and its reflection of the University’s Blueprint for the future.
