We are seeking a Systems Support Specialist who shares our passion in technology and delivering it with uncompromised standards to our clients.

In this Systems Support Specialist role you will be required to perform your duties both at customer's premises as well as remote work from our office in Sydney's sought after IT precinct at Macquarie Park.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Monitor and Manage Synergise IT NOC and respond to issues as they arise
  • Receiving customer service requests via phone and email
  • Triage – identify and escalate more complicated and urgent issues to Level 3
  • Servicing multiple clients with diverse IT infrastructure
  • Onsite technical installation, service and support
  • Remote and telephone troubleshooting and support
  • Hardware & Software support
  • Installations and Upgrades
  • Review of and recommendations for clients technology, hardware and software
  • Liaise with users, suppliers, software and hardware vendors

Ideally your qualifications and experience will include:

  • At least 1-2 years of commercial experience in a user-oriented support capacity
  • Relevant tertiary education in Information Technology
  • Microsoft Certification is favourable
  • Strong computer diagnosing skills using logical and methodical processes
  • Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems and Applications
  • Passion for Technology

Familiarity with the following server and networking technologies is advantageous but not a requirement:

  • Microsoft Windows Server Technologies – AD, DC, GC, GPO, FRS
  • Microsoft Servers – Exchange, RDS, File and Print Services
  • Server and Network based Backup and Security Systems
  • Networking Technologies – LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WLAN and VLAN
  • Basic scripting skills – VB, Powershell, HTML

We are looking for someone who has the following skills:

  • Your interaction with our clients is pivotal in this role, we achieve this with:
    • Superb communication skills, both oral and written
    • Excellent people skills and customer service skills
    • Ability to liaise with clients on and off-site
  • Analytical and logical problem solving skills for identifying and solving technical problems
  • Ability to evaluate critical systems and prioritise work
  • Ability to understand price/performance and client satisfaction when resolving client issues
  • Display motivation and a commitment to work without supervision at customer sites
  • Ability to recognise and follow-up future upgrades and client needs
  • High level of professionalism and understanding of the business context
  • Be established in Sydney with their own driver's license and car
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and contribute to a team environment
  • Must be punctual and well presented at all times
  • Good time management and organisational skill
