Exciting opportunity for a Senior Server Infrastructure Administrator to work at a Federal Department in a long-term contract role.

Be a part of the force that leads the implementation of Australia's economic diplomacy agenda to boost our global economic interests.
The department requires the services of for a senior server infrastructure administrator to meet the ongoing support requirements for the department's current and future virtualised and physical server infrastructure.
 
Skills Required:

• Demonstrated expertise and extensive experience (5+ years) in administering and supporting enterprise virtualised (hyper-converged and hypervisor) and physical server infrastructure with specific experience supporting Nutanix environments.
• High level of understanding of the design, build, operation, support, maintenance and troubleshooting of Nutanix, VMWare and hardware based or equivalent enterprise level server infrastructure architectures.
• Demonstrated experience in the design of highly available virtualisation solutions in high security environments.
• Administration and support experience across a wide range of enterprise hardware and software platforms including, but not limited to, Dell and HP server hardware, Acropolis and ESXi Hypervisors along will all Microsoft enterprise products.

 
Highly Desirable:

• Experience administering, maintaining and supporting Microsoft Windows Server enterprise environments (2008, 2012) including group policy, active directory, PowerShell scripting, DNS etc.
• High level communication, co-ordination and organisational skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and proven ability to work well in a small team environment.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information and concepts to non-technical staff and senior management in a clear, easy to understand manner.

 
Desirable:

• Demonstrated expertise and extensive experience in administering and supporting VMWare environments.
• Experience administering, maintaining and supporting cloud services and infrastructure like Microsoft Azure, AWS etc.
• Experience administering, maintaining and supporting enterprise networking infrastructure, SAN, Linux, mobile device management or remote accessdesktop solutions.
