Job tasks and responsibilities
The role of Support Engineer involves the following:
- Provide 1st and 2nd level support across Exclusive Networks' portfolio of products to our channel partners over the phone.
- Verify and process Vendor warranty claims.
- Log all calls in Exclusive Networks' CRM system.
- Provide pre-sales support to Exclusive Networks' channel partners.
- Configuration to default of demo units that have been returned by channel partners
- Provide internal desktop support.
- Manage and maintain the internal network/security infrastructure.
- Provide support and assistance for our Exclusive Networks Vendor Engineers.
Skills and experience
Ideal candidates will have the following experience and skill set:
- Have some experience with firewall technologies in support, installation and configuration environments. Previous experience and certification with Fortinet technologies would be advantageous.
- Experience and or understanding of virtualisation technologies in both VMWare and Microsoft environments will be highly regarded particularly hypervisor skills and experience in either OS. Certifications in either would be highly advantageous, as would experience in Enterprise Mobility technologies.
- Must have the ability to work as part of a team of 5 engineers but also work independently as required.
- Ability to follow processes and procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex support problems.
- Drive to learn new technologies and skills.
- The ability to diagnose and troubleshoot existing and new technologies.
- Previous experience with logging and recording of support calls would be advantageous
- Previous experience with Apple/Windows Desktop and Server Environments will be highly regarded.
