Kinexus are working with great companies across Australia, one of our Melbourne based clients is looking to bring on board a Tester to help them through a project for approximately 3 months.
The tester will form part of the project team consisting of a handful of developers and will be responsible for documenting and developing end to end test cases and unit tests both at the system and the module level. With the help of the developers, the unit tests will be added to the build environment. The tester will also use command line tools to simulate end to end operation.
The project consists of backend modules which are primarily written in Python using C / C++. These modules will share access to databases and files on a Linux server.
We are looking for someone who is available to start immediately, this is initially a 3 month contract that could extend.
Technical skills required for the role include:
- MySQL
- Unix environment experience
- JIRA
- Python or PERL
- Shell Scripting
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
