About the role
We are seeking a highly experienced and proven Programme Manager to work on client sites to manage the delivery of complex Digital Transformation programmes from strategy development through to project delivery and benefits realisation.
The candidate will have significant business experience managing IT driven transformation Programmes within asset intensive industries, including Electricity and Water Utilities and the Rail sector.
The role will have responsibility for:
· building capability and providing guidance on best practice methodologies to mitigate programme risks and accelerate successful business outcomes.
· providing ongoing management of associated project team members who may be client employees, associated consultants and/or third party service providers
· ensuring the completion of the defined project and programme deliverables within necessary timescales and financial constraints.
· managing the ongoing K2Fly client relationship on site
· providing the necessary internal and client progress reporting to ensure all stakeholders are aware of current status and any associated risks and issues.
Main tasks: to assist with the delivery of client Digital Transformation programmes; including but not limited to:
- Development of initial Digital Transformation strategy and business case. Including current state assessment and transformation roadmap.
- Provide advice as to feasibility and suitability of proposed solution to optimise business performance.
- Develop and implement prioritisation matrix to ensure benefits are maximised.
- Lead and manage multi-vendor project teams to provide client focussed services.
- Facilitate strong working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, including executive leadership team, to support collaboration and build and on existing relationships to successfully influence outcomes.
- To identify and manage all risks and issues through to successful mitigation.
- Work with key stakeholders to define business requirements and trends to enable informed business decisions and service level improvements.
- Provide related business and Digital Transformation expertise to identify and implement market leading innovations and technical solutions.
- Provide plain language advice on complex technical issues to non-technical audiences within the client organisation.

Skills and experience
This role is to support on-going Digital Transformation programmes and is therefore time-critical and must be filled immediately. The candidate will require a blend of previous consultancy and significant experience in managing the delivery of digital transformation programmes within customer facing asset intensive industries e.g Transport and Utility. The candidate will have defined, managed and implemented Digital Transformation programmes in a regulated market.
Qualifications for the position
Relevant qualifications:
- Higher National Certificate or Degree
- Managing Successful Programmes (MSP)
- Prince 2
- At least 20 years related experience
