Our MissionOur company was founded in 2016 with the mission of analysing the world’s security footage to produce actionable insights in real-time. Hours of security camera footage is produced each second, but this footage is usually only reviewed hours after an incident has already occurred. By this time, it is often too late where preventable circumstances have resulted in irrecoverable loss.
We believe that by using a combination of AI and human interactions, we can produce timely and actionable insights that make the world safer, smarter and more efficient.
Our Tech Stack
- Docker, Terraform & TravisCI for DevOps/CI
- Scala and NodeJS (Es6+) for most of our micro-services
- JavaScript (ES6, ReactJS, Redux) for all of our frontend apps
- Python for machine learning and various internal tools
- C++ when we have to do low level stuff
Open source wherever possible. Take a functional programming approach in writing code and infrastructure. Take writing tests and documentation seriously.
Our Team
We’re a small team of around 10 people that mostly comprise of software and machine learning engineers. We understand our goals and we work closely together to achieve them. We share ideas, challenge them and keep each other accountable.
The Role
We’re looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join our mission. We’re a fast moving startup building an “AI as a Service” (AIaaS) both in the cloud and on the edge. As an ML engineer, you will have experience with data science best practices are proficient with python, have experience with at least one of: Tensorflow, Keras, Caffe, Caffe2, MXNet.
You'll also have experience training Convolutional Neural Networks and are familiar with how they work, have experience with AWS are proficient with unix based operating systems and are proficient with version control software, especially git.
Less important stuff
There are no dress code requirements. Most of us like play pool (8 ball) during lunch. Some of us like playing table tennis instead. Sometimes, some of us actually use the free gym membership after work.
We have an in house bar with beer tap and keg. It’s usually some overly bitter hipster IPA on tap. For the rest of us there is a fridge with normal beers, alcopops and wine.
Once a month a masseuse comes in to help you loosen the stiffness in your back that was caused by you hunching over your computer. Everyday you have the option of standing at your desk with good working posture.
Every now and then, we go for a nice meal together to celebrate our wins. In summer we sometimes go sailing around the harbour or have sailboat races other companies. It's a pretty cool place to be.
