About the role
Reporting to the IT manager our web developers play a critical role at Scouts Victoria. Primarily the role is responsible for the ongoing development and support for a variety of web based applications using PHP
Key functions of the role will include:
- Develop and maintain web applications (Both frontend and backend)
- Review codes, fix bugs and deliver quality assurance
- Application testing
- System and Database design and implementation
- Develop and maintain user and technical documentation
- Analysis and scoping of business requirements
- Application support
- Database management and SQL reporting
About you:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Strong Technical knowledge of PHP
- Strong Technical knowledge of Database Design and Mysql
- Strong Technical knowledge of Object Oriented and MVC architecture
- Technical knowledge of CSS3 and HTML 5 (Specifically responsive designs)
- Technical knowledge of Javascript, Jquery, AJAX, Bootstrap, Angular
- Technical knowledge of LAMP stack technologies; Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP
- Experience with API Services – REST, JSON, XML, SOAP
- Experience with PHP Frameworks (Zend)
