The Company

About the role

  • Provides technical support for internal and external customers of EBSCO's software and solutions.
  • Maintains EBSCO's global infrastructure support.
  • Is the primary contact post set-up for technical support for EBSCO Discovery Service.
  • Conduct independent research to resolve the customer problems.
  • Provide customers with all required assistance for explanation of features, installation, configuration and deployment of product upgrades both in writing and verbally.
  • Case manage support cases that require collaboration with other teams – ensure problems are resolved.
  • Act as regional authoritative expert on EBSCO's SaaS product line.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing technical support tools, processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Candidates will have a proven track record in providing excellent technical support for SaaS products.
  • Have attained Bachelor of Computer Science/Library Science or related field.
  • Proficient in HTML, PHP and JavaScript development.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate technical support responses over the telephone and in written correspondence at different user levels.
  • Strong technology abilities with products and internet resources.
  • Extremely organised with the ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to build beneficial relationships with all contacts, the sales team and users.
