Position Overview:
As a PHP Developer at ELMO, you will be required to work closely with Developers, QA Testers and Product Owners, to develop and deploy new features, as well as understanding and providing technical specifications for the project. It is imperative as a PHP Developer that you examine and deliver a well-designed technical solution in a clean and maintainable code, in order to follow the industry’s best practice. A key aspect in this role is to contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle, by troubleshooting, testing and maintaining core software products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand functional specifications and provide technical specifications
- Contribute to technical solutions as part of the SCRUM team
- Provide, examine and deliver well designed technical solutions in clean and maintainable code
- Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core software product to ensure strong optimisation and functionality
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
- Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary
- Follow industry best practices.
Positional Qualifications, Attributes and Skills:
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with a concentration in Information Technology, Computer Engineering,
- Computer Science or equivalent experience of minimum three years
- Demonstrated experience of agile/scrum methodology
- Minimum 2 years work PHP Development experience
- Advanced knowledge of PHP, SQL, Javascript and CSS
- Experience in OO programming and MVC frameworks Comfortable with LAMP environment
- Experience with building complex CMS
- Experience in frontend development, including Angular and/or React
- Familiar with AWS and/or Google Cloud
- Excellent decision making and problem solving skills
- Well-developed communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
