An exciting opportunity has become available in Sydney Corporate Office for an enthusiastic, driven individual to take on the role of Technical Operations Manager in the Ecommerce team.
Event Cinemas is part of the EVT group, Australia's premier Entertainment, Leisure & Hospitality Company operating brands such as Event Cinemas, Greater Union, Birch Carroll & Coyle, Moonlight Cinemas, Rydges Hotels & Resorts, QT Hotels & Resorts & Atura Hotels.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager Ecommerce, you will work with the internal & external development teams to deliver new projects for cinema website and mobile applications while ensuring performance and high availability of the platform is maintained to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Scoping, technical testing, load testing and release management
- Design solutions to business problems in collaboration with in-house developer
- Ensure compliance with PCI standards, OWASP and secure coding practices
- Monitor & provision infrastructure in partnership with Managed Service Provider
- Respond to monitoring alerts, incidents and coordinate resolution including outside of normal business hours
- Develop and maintain technical documentation
- Manage integration of payment gateways, 3rd party services and business systems
- Assist with reporting, SQL queries and analytics review
- Working with technology can require early starts and occasional late nights to meet technical testing and deployment windows.
About you
- You will have an understanding of web technologies including domain registration, DNS, CDNs, Database platforms, HTTP/S, application frameworks and payment gateways
- Experience in application performance management is considered advantageous
- Proven experience in problem solving technical issues, you will be technically persistent and understand the application stack.
- Demonstrated experience with 3rd party tools such as Cloudflare, CloudFront, S3, Route 53, New Relic would be considered advantageous
