About the Business
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Team Leader to lead our Development team to deliver high quality software in a timely manner and to contribute to achieving team targets.

Your Responsibilities:

• To write high quality code and support others in doing so as well.
• We have a Peer Review process where every piece of your work will be peer reviewed by another developer. You are also required to review work produced by other developers.
• We also have automated processes in place to restrict code with too high complexity going into the code base and to ensure code conforms to the style guide.
• Automated testing is very important to delivering high quality applications, which we have in all areas of the code base. You should feel comfortable developing and understanding automated tests.
• Implementing correct solutions in a timely manner is critical to every business. Hence, it is very important that you have the necessary skills and attitude to implement solutions in a timely manner.
• We frequently investigate new software, tools, libraries, solutions and architectures. However, we are not an R&D institution. Consequently, we require everyone to balance code quality, correct solutions and timely implementations.

 
What you need to be successful:

• A formal qualification in in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related relevant field.
• Proven experience as a Team Lead or similar role.
• Software development experience for 10+ years is preferred.
• Embody a GSD attitude - Get Stuff Done - while keeping high code quality.
• We're all in this together - being a strong team-player is required.
• Familiarity with using the Scrum development methodology.
• Knowledge of programming languages JavaScript, Ruby on Rails and/or Go. (Developers with strong knowledge of other programming languages will be considered.)
• Knowledge of modern JavaScript syntax (ES6/7) as well as frameworks and libraries around the React ecosystem (e.g. Redux, React-Router, etc).
• Experience with Angular and/or any other SPA MV* are not required but are desired.
• Knowledge of supporting systems, e.g. Git, Jira etc.
• Willingness to learn new languages and technologies.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
• Strong rapport and relationship building skills.
• Experience with software design, test-driven development, CI/CD, DevOps, Microservices and/or pair-programming are not required but are desired.
