The Cyber Team at the Australian Energy Market Operator:

AEMO is responsible for securing energy markets that trade in excess of $16 billion annually as well as securely operating critical infrastructure across the nation. We are looking to grow our security team across the full spectrum of cyber operations.

About the Role:

• 12 Month Fixed Term Contract to be based in our Melbourne CBD location
• Support the delivery of a strategic cyber security initiative where you will be required to engage with internal and external resources and combine your knowledge of the energy sector and Identity and Access Management with your experience in effective project management
• Facilitate and advise on project governance, standards, scope, methodologies and budget considerations across the project

Key accountabilities:

Reporting directly to the Cyber Security Programme manager you will;

• Lead the scoping and deliver of the project including resourcing of working teams and management of external support
• Consult and engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success and stakeholder expectations are well definite and met
• Develop and present status reports and communications on the projects to the AEMO Board, Steering Committee and other project stakeholders

Required skills and experience: 

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Information Technology, Engineering or other related qualification
• Energy experience with both industry and regulatory matters highly desirable
• At least 5 years’ experience in a project management environment managing medium to large projects involving information technology and/or specialised engineering components
• Excellent communication skills and experience presenting high quality communications suitable for the Board, management and external stakeholder
