About the role

This leading provider of software in their sector is embracing DevOps and the cloud (moving away from their traditional hosted solutions and waterfall models). Hence they need to overhaul their information security policies and practices, and ensure they align with the new approach to software development & release and the platforms they sit on.

Hence they need to bring aboard an Information Security Manager to quarterback the development of new policies, new procedures, and establishing the culture of security their business demands.

About the company

They are a well established software provider, a market leader in their sector.  A well established customer base exists for their products.

They are now looking to rebuild their key platform and ensure the system remains current, robust & scalable. They are a Microsoft shop and are going down the Azure path.

The culture has a start up flavour to it, but retains the backing of a financially strong business.

About you

You'll have a strong understanding of security standards such as IS27001 and NIST. You'll also understand how to devise a fit for purpose security framework, commensurate with the risks and stakeholders. A very modern approach to security testing is also needed, as is experience spanning also facets of security incident handling.

Experience with cloud and/or devOps would also be a bonus.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders and build a strong security culture are also hugely important.
