The Job Role

Building new SOE and supporting transition of applications to it where possible.
Deploy updates to Linux SOEs.
Support configuration changes to Linux SOE to support new projects/application that are to be deployed on the Linux SOE.
Managing Enterprise Linux servers in virtualized environments.

Candidates should have;

Demonstrated experience in an enterprise environment working as a Senior Linux Engineer, particularly with RHEL/Oracle Linux 6+, along with integrated and underlying systems including, VMWare and SAN concepts (qualifications desirable, ie RHCE).
Demonstrated experience in Linux SOE development. Strategic direction of SOE administration and management improvements.
Demonstrated experience working work automation, orchestration and scripting tools such as: Puppet, Spacewalk, Ansible. Knowledge of Shell and/or Python scripting and version control (Git).
Demonstrated experience in building and administering database infrastructure running on Linux (Oracle DB and SQL).
Demonstrated troubleshooting skills across multiple infrastructure, ie operating system, network, disk, virtualisation.
