The Position
St John of God Health Care has a new and exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Data Modeller to join our Digital and Transformation Analytics team.
Reporting directly to the Chief Analytics Officer, you will assist with the design and implementation of data lake storage and/or operational data stores; data warehouse and data marts in the dimensional model form and translate business requirements into conceptual, analytical and physical data models.
This position will be offered on a temporary 12-month basis, working full-time.
The successful candidate will have:
- Ability to work within and contribute to the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science and engineering, information technology or other.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Data Modelling.
- Exposure and experience to cloud based data modelling technology.
- Good understanding of different data modelling concepts and the pros and cons of these.
- Demonstrable experience in developing, validating, publishing, maintaining LOGICAL data models with exposure to or experience in developing, validating, publishing, maintaining PHYSICAL data models
- Demonstrable experience using data modelling tools.
- Evaluate existing data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies.
- Experience with managing meta data for data models.
- Demonstrable experience in developing, publishing, and maintaining all documentation for data models.
- Work with Business Analysts, Data Architects, Software developers, DBAs to achieve project objectives - delivery dates, cost objectives, quality objectives, business customer satisfaction objectives, etc.
- Healthcare industry experience would be highly regarded.
