The Position
St John of God Health Care has a new and exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Data Architect to join our Digital and Transformation Analytics team.
Reporting directly to the Chief Analytics Officer, you will be an innovative and experienced professional responsible for the optimisation of data and pipeline architecture and will develop, maintain and test infrastructure for data generation and optimise data flow and collection.
This critical role will contribute to the redesign and advancement of existing architecture.
This position will be offered on a temporary 12-month basis, working full-time.
The successful candidate will have:
- Ability to work within and contribute to the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar Data Engineer role.
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
- Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
- Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
- High-level communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Healthcare industry experience would be highly regarded.
