Primary Accountability

The Manager - Service Enablement will have an understanding of the operational support requirements in order to set the objectives for Service Enablement. This will ensure that all activities required for the operational readiness can be listed, planned, resourced and managed during the development of new services or modification of existing services. This will be managed through a series of Acceptance Gates.

The Manager, Service Enablement is also responsible for the work force planning function across the Operations teams in order to ensure BAU and transition activities have adequate resources without disrupting BAU delivery. Work force Planning would include providing the optimal workforce and capacity planning solutions for the upcoming initiatives and transition into BAU support activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Definition and governance of a TiBS framework and supporting processes
  • Accountable for ensuring financial viability of the team through effective resource optimisation, in terms of the appropriate resource placement based on specific requirements and maximising utilisation
  • Ensures staff are meeting key success criteria and KPIs set for the team and each individual
  • Act as Executive Steering Committee member for strategic accounts and/or projects associated with the group as required
  • Responsible for risk, issue and change escalation and appropriate communication to the customer to manage expectations
  • Conduct post-delivery reviews and circle lessons learnt back to the relevant stakeholders.  Use the review feedback to implement continual process improvements as appropriate
  • Providing analyses and insights on resource requirements to proactively identify resourcing demands through the reporting of current and forecasted off task resources.
  • Providing resource options which drive effective use of skillsets and availability.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Experience and understanding of working in a multi-streams, multi-vendor service delivery environment.
  • Experience and understanding of managed services contracts
  • Minimum 5 years’ service delivery experience
  • ITIL Foundations qualification
  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent in a related discipline
  • Organisational change experience
