Exciting opportunities are now available for Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure Support Analyst to join our Shipbuilding Team at Techport SA.
The Infrastructure Support Analyst is responsible for a range of administration aspects relating to the operation, monitoring and sustainment of Raytheon Australia managed IT infrastructure as directed by the Lead Infrastructure Administrator and senior members of the Infrastructure & Security team. You will form an integral part of the Infrastructure and Security Team providing 2nd and 3rd level support to the IT organisation and its customers. The role will also include infrastructure project delivery tasks in providing services to Raytheon Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day to day monitoring and system checks according to standards and procedures. Pro-actively monitor alerts, event logs, security logs, performance, availability and capacity planning
- Managing system accounts, permissions and directory operations and ensure Service Delivery staff have the necessary up-to-date information
- Backup and Recovery Services – Daily monitoring of backup systems, recovery of data, offsite storage services and archiving including secure offsite media management Application
- Whitelisting - Manage deployment of policies for endpoint security and whitelisting approved applications
- Provide expert level diagnostics and fault resolution for hardware and common software services Administration and patching of Windows server platforms, server builds and server maintenance in line with defined standards and best practice methodology
- Automate routine tasks where possible using existing tools, scripting and refinement of existing processes. Includes the development and maintenance of Perl, shell and batch scripts
- Documentation – Maintain policy, procedures, guidelines and work instructions for systems. Establish and maintain knowledge base. Develop and maintain Disaster Recovery Plans, Business Continuity Plans
Skills Experience and Qualifications
- Knowledge of server, storage and network industry standards and technologies
- Possesses sound knowledge of the approach to and experience in diagnosing complex technical faults as well as an ability to develop and implement process improvement
- Experience with Infrastructure applications such as Exchange, VMWare and Citrix
- Knowledge of the ITIL methodology
- Skills in developing System Recovery and Continuity Plans
- Proven ability to work under pressure in emergencies and with competing priorities
- Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs
- Relevant degree in IT or industry standard accreditations such as Microsoft MCSE, VMware certified &/or ITIL Foundation Certificate
- 4+ years' experience administering Active Directory and Group Policy. Broad experience of standard System and Network Administration tools
- Experience in monitoring a complex IT environment. Sound knowledge of computing and security system principles
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence security clearance
