This is a unique opportunity for a Solution Architect for a 3-6 month contract for a leading client based in Perth CBD. 

Skills & Knowledge:

• Sufficient knowledge across business, information, application, technology and security domains to craft coherent, feasible architectures that deliver business value.
• Substantial experience developing architecture and design in an enterprise context.
• Mature understanding of the relative risks and opportunities of COTS package implementations, SaaS implementations and bespoke development.
• Solid understanding of IaaS and PaaS offerings (with a focus on AWS) and their application in cloud-first architectures.
• Broad knowledge of emerging technologies and architecture practices.
• Fluency with a variety of modelling notations and ability to identify the viewpoints required to satisfy specific stakeholders or address specific outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Responsibilities:

• Ad hoc advice to business and IT stakeholders regarding solution opportunities, constraints and impact.
• Evaluation and selection of solution options, including documented rationale.
• Solution definition and high-level technical design, including production of architecture and design documentations.
• Engagement and conformance with directives from key solution stakeholders including Digital Architecture & Platforms, Cyber Security, Information Management and IT Operations.
• Development of segment architectures to assist in planning and impact analysis of technical change within specific portfolios.
• Supervision of internal and external technical resources to ensure that delivered products meet design specifications.
• Assistance in developing and maintaining estimates throughout the solution life cycle.
• Ownership and proactive management of architecture change and architecture risks/issues.
