The Client and Opportunity
My Top-tier consultancy client is urgently looking for a talented Data/Reporting Analyst preferably with commercial banking / regulatory finance analyst experience.
Although the decision making process could be as quick as a week with a potential 1 or 2 interviews, the onboarding processes means a 1 to 2 week wait to start. So please bear this in mind when applying, the process may take a few weeks from interview to start
Responsibilities include:
- You will provide remediation of databases, reporting software and workflow tools including reconciliation of data populations
- Allocate tasks/workload to frontline analysts
- Management and Manipulation of data and databases, as well as the maintenance, updating and development of remediation production workflow tools
- Clean data by reviewing reports, printouts, and indicators to locate and correct underlying coding problems
- You will need to Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets using statistical techniques to locate and define underlying trends and opportunities to improve processes
- You will provide ongoing reporting to business and stakeholders to deliver status updates and communicate findings
- Development of database, workflow tools and/or reporting software to continuously improve data efficiency/reporting capabilities
Desired Background:
- 5 -8 years’ solid data analytics experience in a large commercial or preferably in financial/banking client
- You must be able to handle multiple priorities and tasks with ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with data models, database design development, data mining and statistical analysis techniques
- Strong knowledge of and experience with Tableau, SQL, MS SharePoint and statistical packages for the analysis of datasets
- Any experience writing and maintaining code using Visual Basic for Applications , VBA
- Knowledge and expertise in database management and technical fixes
- Display of agility to changes and appropriately managing allocation of work
