Reporting into the IT Customer Relations Team Lead, the IT Business Partner (ITBP) is a critical element of the IT functional support model.
The role has the overall responsibility to serve as the operational and strategic interface with assigned business units or functional areas for the purpose of relationship management, process improvement, service management, solution discovery, business technology strategy development and risk management. 
The ITBP will be seen as a ‘trusted advisor’, and be the primary IT point of contact to the business units, promoting IT services and capabilities.  They will strive to understand market challenges, including priorities and competitive issues.

As an IT Business Partner, you will be the strategic link between your nominated TasNetworks business unit(s) and the Information Technology team. 

 

To be successful in this role, you will have substantial customer relationship and service management experience, be adaptable and embrace ever-changing situations. You need to possess deep analysis and business process skills, and have a real dedication and drive to get the job done. A continual improvement focus and business excellence tilt is essential.

Skills You Need

 

Education / Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business or a related discipline or equivalent business experience.

 

Knowledge

  • Clear interpersonal and written communication of information, including the ability to appropriately manage customer expectations and adapt personal approach to meet the needs of the customer.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes with senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, ability to identify value drivers and link to IT needs/decision processes.
  • Proven track record in relationship management.
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new skills and research possible options in order to develop new and creative outcomes through innovation.
  • Analytical by nature and delivering work recognised by structure and high quality.
  • Proven team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and driven.
  • Good time management and organisational skills in order to prioritise workload and demands.

 

Experience

  • Experience in a SAP ERP environment.
  • Experience in leading significant business process and/or systems change initiatives with positive outcomes.
  • Strategic thinking and planning.
  • Operational execution excellence.
  • Nimble thinking to drive change that enables efficiencies and drives growth.
  • Team and collaboration orientation.
  • Problem solving.
  • Experience in interpreting technical data from a range of disciplines and then deliver that information in a way the customer can understand.
