As a mid level Net software developer you will be part of an agile development team building and working on enterprise systems. You will possess a demonstrable track record of engineering achievement.
You will be able to design, write and deliver code that not only meets the requirements but delivers on code quality and follows recognised design patterns where applicable. While maintaining system scalability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and development of software utilising ASP.NET MVC, C# .NET and RDBMS
- Execute Software Engineering processes
- Perform structured code reviews, critiquing code produced by others and providing constructive comment
- Perform proof of concepts to resolve complex technical challenges
- Independently execute on tasks with little or no direction
- Ability to identify technical depth and recommend improvements to rectify
- Exploration of new technologies and be able demonstrate to other team members
- Design and development of software utilising ASP.NET MVC, C# .NET and RDBMS.
Skills & Experience required:
- Computer Science or Software Engineering degree is an advantage
- Implementation experience with software development technologies subject to project needs. Technologies will include:
- Microsoft .Net Framework C# with experience in developing RESTful APIs with ASP.NET WebAPI and web applications using ASP.NET MVC.
- Developing Database applications using PostgreSQL, SQL Server or similar
- TDD
- WPF
- Experience with the following technologies NHibernate, NUnit, Nant scripting, WIX is a bonus
- Practical understanding and use of source control systems, such as GIT / SVN
- Strong verbal, documentation and communication skills.
- A thorough understanding of the software development life cycle.
Highly Desirable:
- Experience utilising popular web development tools and frameworks including JQuery, AngularJS, Bootstrap and LESS CSS
- Comfortable with Test Driven Development (TDD) or Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) workflows
