Your New Role
You will be required to complete pre-construction scoping duties across Sydney CBD and Inner West. The role will consist of full time hours on a casual basis with the possibility of transitioning to permanent employment.
Your duties will include out field walkouts of NBN allocated FTTx designs to:
- Identify & correct design errors & omissions
- Quantify copper material requirements
- Ensure constructability of the final for construction design
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Walkout of FTTN & FTTP designs
- Check for rope & duct capacity
- Rod conduit to ensure it is fit for purpose
- Review design against dial before you dig plans & advise alternative solutions if necessary
- Identify out of scope activities
- Identify & offer solutions for design errors & omissions & provide a list for the Joint Walkout
- Pre-dilapidation photographs
- Review cabinet locations & assist with redesign if necessary
- Mark up drawings with changes and correct SOR codes & quantities
Essential Skills/ Experience
- A good working knowledge of the Telstra Copper Customer Access Network
- Plan reading & mark-up skills
- Previous pre-construction scoping experience
- A current NSW drivers licence
- A current construction induction white card
- NBN enable induction
