Essentially this role is designed to enhance, promote and grow community awareness of our API Products. We’d love someone to engage with the broader community of developers and drive excitement around developer related technologies.  You’ll be the face of our API Products and your remit would be to increase usage of MessageMedia API……Position the company and evangelize our technology to the market. 

In short, you’d collaborate with our Product, Engineering and Marketing teams and be the link between the business and external communities;

About You

To assume the lofty heights of our API Dev Evangelist you should have solid knowledge and experience in writing and understanding code in a wide range of development languages. You’ll be self-driven, able to set your own challenges and define how to get there. You’ve probably got deep-seated passions and enthusiasm for technology, learning and a desire to educate and share your knowledge with others.

The company is growing and so are all of our teams.  We’d love to hire a creative evangelist who’ll help us;

• Drive awareness and adoption of MessageMedia’s APIs/Products to ensure MessageMedia is seen as a leading business communication and technology company
• Organise, host and represent MessageMedia on at sponsored events, meetups, hackathons, conferences and other events
• Create and publish technical content including blog posts and general content on our technology/APIs and general industry trends
• Speak at meetups, conferences and workshops
• Collaborate with our internal teams and be in congruent between our internal team and external communities, providing feedback internally where appropriate
• Write production-quality code to contribute and maintain API reference documentation, SDKs and technical guides
• Provide support via channels such as MessageMedia’s community Slack, Social Media, StackOverflow and GitHub
• Educatedevelopers, hosting webinars, creating video tutorials and technical workshops 
• Create opportunities for MessageMedia to engage with developers 

You’ll work with our API engineering team, Product Manager, Product Owner, Strategy team and Marketing team. It’s a high-profile role that’ll be responsible for driving the adoption of one of our biggest product suites.
