Your new company
This government organisation provides key services to Victoria. They currently require a SharePoint Developer to join their friendly team on an initial 6 month contract with the view of moving permanent.
Your new role
Due to an increase in project demand, the organisation requires you to work closely with key stakeholders to develop, modify and maintain multiple SharePoint portals, sites and subsites. You will be responsible for:
- Developing software solutions by assessing business requirements and liaising with key stakeholders
- Software design using software development fundamentals and processes, debug, test, and deploy software solutions.
- Design, develop and maintain key components of the software suite using classic ASP, Microsoft .Net and SharePoint Server Office 365.
- Implementation of SharePoint-based workflows as well as integration with Business Intelligence dashboards. Using Power BI
- Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation
- Build proof of concepts and Template creation
What you'll need to succeed
- Experienced in SharePoint out of the box features
- Experience with SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, Web Parts, and workflow creation.
- Good understanding of Office 365
- SharePoint / Office 365 Certifications desirable
- Experience in ShareGate Migration Tool
- Experience as a SharePoint Developer in the Waterfall methodology.
- Experience with SharePoint’s application services framework including implementation, configuration, and usages of Search, Managed Metadata, and User Profile Services.
- Bachelor of Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline is desired.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high quality/error free deliverables.
- Custom work such as Visual Studio
- Design Custom CSS
- Use of JSlink and Client Side Rendering
- Configuration using MS tools such as SharePoint Designer or InfoPath
- Demonstrated Stakeholder Management
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
- Demonstrated understanding of agile practices and the ability to communicate across all levels is vital to delivery in this role
