Join a well-known financial services institution based in North Sydney as a Project Manager working on an actuaries' project. This role also involves planning, directing and leading the development and implementation of one or more projects to satisfy business strategies and objectives. The size and complexity to be managed will vary and be partly determined by the experience of the individual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and drive the end to end delivery of Insurance project activities to ensure on track, in budget, quality assured and scope
- Manage a project team to maintain delivery momentum, demonstrating and applying best practice across all project management elements
- Create a project environment resulting in strong delivery, capable and enabled staff and satisfied customers
- Actively promote a culture of Risk and Compliance awareness
- Developing and promoting collaborative ways of working across the Insurance PMO
- Actively contribute to and support the development of Project Management, Delivery Lead and Business Analysis capability uplift for Insurance PMO delivery teams
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' of project management related roles across a diverse range of business functions and processes (specifically Insurance)
- Strong Project Management skills across a range of disciplines (specifically PMBOK and Agile)
- Project Management qualifications desired
- Experience in delivering projects in a corporate financial environment by:
- Managing multiple priorities: ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups or activities, making effective judgements as to prioritising and time allocation
- Planning and organising: can quickly and effectively mobilise both time and resources to get things done
- Effective communication: understands effective communication concepts, tools and techniques, able to accurately interpret ideas, information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours
- Managing organisational change: ability to manage the successful and smooth transition from current desired culture, practices, structure and overall organisational environment
- Project management skills: able to plan, organise, implement, monitor and control projects, ensuring efficient utilisation of technical and business resources to achieve project objectives
- Adherence to project governance frameworks
- Management of project budget, variations identified, reported and addressed
