This role is part of the ​Security Operations Centre reporting to the Head of IT - SOC. The Security Operations Centre (SOC) is responsible for the configuration and running of critical security tools as well as the monitoring and response of security related incidents.

Key Responsibilities
● Accountable for Security Incident Response capabilities and management of Security Incidents.
● Accountable for meeting SLA’s regarding incidents and problems assigned to the SOC.
● Accountable for monitoring, consuming and responding to the output of security tools, e.g SIEM, ePO, FIM, CASB, etc for the detection of security events
● Identify and uplift controls to prevent, detect and respond to security incidents
● Oversee the initial triage, containment, categorisation, and escalation for suspicious events and incidents
● Provide security expertise to the SOC team leveraging industry leading practices
● Develop, encourage and support SOC members to work towards career goals

Essentials
● Broad knowledge and confidence of a number of Security applications and tools.
● Experience in managing significant security incidents
● A working knowledge of the kill chain methodology
● Experience in the various stages of Incident Response
● Strong understanding of information security
● Strong understanding of networking and protocols
● The ability to work in both a team environment and independently
● Driving business outcomes
● Leadership experience, managing and developing teams
