About the Role
The successful candidate will report directly to the Infrastructure Manager and assist in the configuration, protection and expansion of the networks, whilst managing network hardware. The candidate should also ensure they have a strong focus in security vulnerabilities, and be able to manage and enforce security systems including firewalls, intrusion prevention and detection solutions and remote access devices. This role is highly suited to a mid level engineer who can work within a skilled team to ensure the business has the utmost capacity and provision of the core network. The ideal candidate for the position should hold the below skills:
- A minimum 3- 5 years’ experience in network roles supporting high availability complex environments including LAN, WAN and Cisco security;
- Proven skills in managing all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, telephony, wireless, video and security systems;
- TAFE diploma or university degree in the field of computer systems and/or 3 -5 years equivalent work experience;
- A minimum 2 years’ experience managing security / firewalls ideally using CISCO products including Cisco Identity Engine (ISE) and or Cisco Firepower;
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
