As the fourth largest Telco in Australia, Vocus Group continues to grow and we are looking for an experienced BI Analyst. 

The BI Analyst will be responsible for the development and implementation of data and business intelligence applications to enable effective data driven business decisions. You will design, develop and maintain reports, dashboards, data analysis and reporting portals using modern visualisation tools with an emphasis on Tableau and MSBI.

The day to day

• Create dashboards and reports to present information in a clear and efficient way through engaging visualisation
• Working with different stake holders in the business to gather requirements and develop the appropriate reports and dashboards to meet business needs
• Administration and Support of the Tableau Server
• Propose and develop data models, including data warehouse, analytical and semantic layers
• Design and build data analytics solutions based on requirements and industry best practices
• Design, develop and maintain reports, dashboards in Tableau environment and MSBI environments
• Technical and support documentation (including technical specification, support manual and change management
• Full Lifecycle solution delivery, from concept, prototyping all the way through to production

What you will need to bring to the table

• A minimum of 5+ years’ in BI Analyst role
• A minimum of 3 + years' with Tableau experience
  
• Experienced in Tableau with experience with large and complex datasets and delivery via Tableau Server
• Ability to converse at ease with people at all levels of business and explain technology in business terms
• Excellent data visualisation skills
• Strong communications skills
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong problem, analytical skills and attention to detail
• Broad knowledge of software development technologies, structured and unstructured data stores and associated
  technologies
• Advanced skills with SQL and R Data mining
• Demonstrated ability in data manipulation and trend analysis/mathematical models
• Knowledge of databases, database design, data warehousing, & BI technologies
• Knowledge in MS BI Stack (SSIS, SSAS & SSRS)
