As the IT Procurement Officer, you will be a valued team member and contribute to the business by conducting and managing end-to-end procurement lifecycle activities.

This role will see you take on responsibilities that include but not limited to:
  • Managing daily purchasing in line with customers’ requirements and the organisation's objectives.
  • Engaging with customers and internal staff to ensure requirements are clearly identified.
  • Ensure the purchasing process is met end to end from ordering through to delivery and tracking.
  • Updating product data and pricing.
  • Follow up and update backorder status.
  • Assist with the management of supplier/vendor relationships.
  • Entry and processing of creditor invoices/supplier invoices as required.
  • Ensure that the organisation's purchasing policy is always followed.
  • Ensuring hardware is always tracked via the internal system (portal).
  • Proactive management of customer assets (Asset Management).
  • Ensuring the customer is communicated to in respect to purchasing progress and delivery.
  • Ability to negotiate with suppliers/vendors as required. 

To be considered for this role you will have proven experience as follows:
  • Previous experience in IT Procurement.
  • Experience within an information technology environment is desirable.
  • Excellent written and spoken, presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume procurement environment, with a high degree of organisational and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with MS Office suite of products.
  • Demonstrate and initiate speed in understanding, dealing with, and resolving a business situation or problem.
  • A customer service focus, attention to detail and be an effective team player.
  • Excellent relationship building and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills are desirable. 
The ideal candidate for this role will need to be structured, organised and have great communication skills. In addition ensure deadlines are met, proactive and must have strong attention to detail and a customer-focused approach. This is a full-time position and an attractive salary package can be offered based on skills and experience.
