The role: 

Toyota’s IT environment is heavily Vendor driven, we have teams of people from a variety of companies collaborating to help us deliver solutions. As such, this role is heavily focused on understanding the technology landscape, setting standards and leading the delivery.

The role will split across Architecture, designing toolkits, delivery and some internal Projects

Your time will be spent coordinating and managing technology vendors and key stakeholders across the Toyota business for both outsourced and internal developments as well as system enhancements.

The Team: 

The purpose of the Senior Information Specialist is to drive information based solution architecture & design, deliver and drive key projects and work closely with our business stakeholders.

Within this role you will develop modern data solutions to meet business needs. You will work closely with the Enterprise Architecture function to shape and deliver solutions. The solutions will involve complex data and range from dashboards and data hubs through to supporting data science PoC's and active decisioning solutions.


You will be responsible for:

• The shaping of core data, building data structures and articulating to the business the benefits
• Building the underlying principles behind Data Architecture as well as working closely with vendors and partners
• Implementing methods around conceptual data modelling
• Implementing and ensuring that agreed processes and procedures in relation to Data Science, Analytics, MDM Information systems, are consistent with set policies
• Maintaining best practice in terms of quality, long-term cost and re-usability of data, while balancing technical excellence with business reality
• Identification of new opportunities for innovative solutions using a variety of approaches to assist managers in the development of applications across the Information and Analytics team

What are we looking for?

• Experience as a developer using Information platforms - Master Data Management (MDM) Systems such as Stibo and Informatica
• Experience in broad BI/Analytics & Data Science applications and techniques
• Experience in service design, data modelling and information flow systems
• Background in Information Management
• Excellent knowledge of information focused delivery methodologies and SDLC
• Experience in AGILE and building “MashUp” data solutions is desirable
• Experience in On Premises and CLOUD based solutions
• Experience working with and managing Vendors/Partners
