Our client is a global IT vendor and one of the biggest names in the market. They are looking for a Project Coordinator to join the Data Centre transition and transformation team and assist with managing multiple projects at various stages of the project life cycle.
There is an August start and this contract will go till the end of Mar 2019 with a view to extend and the option to work from home on a day to day basis. The team has been established over the last 5+ years and have grown the Data Centre team quite significantly in the past 12 months.
As the Data Centre Project Coordinator, you will ideally have knowledge and experience with Data Centres and specifically around Data Centre migration and consolidation projects. You will be liaising with senior stakeholders, both internal and external, and coordinating with various teams within infrastructure, applications and networks.
You will be responsible for:
- Collection of data from servers and collation/analysis of information to support project planning and project communications
- Collection of users and teams requirements related to data migration and to the schedule the project must tailor for these users and teams
- Liaise with client Project Manager and users group to arrange a migration schedule that feeds the project plan and communication plan
- Create/maintain update project documentation such as KB articles, SharePoint sites, team sites and FLOW diagrams
- Assist the Project Managers on any adhoc responsibilities
To be suitable you will have:
- Must be an Australian Citizen as you will need to be eligible to gain baseline security clearance which will be sponsored
- Experience working on complex Infrastructure projects OR ideally Data Centre projects. This is essential to the role and non-negotiable
- Experience or knowledge with Project and IT Governance frameworks such as PMP, PMI, PMBOK, Prince2, ITSM, ITIL v3
- Experience with infrastructure and/or application relocation projects
- Ideally experience with Data Centre enterprise infrastructure technologies, including or all of: Mainframe, UNIX, high density Wintel, VMware Virtualisation, storage, back up, LAN/WAN technologies
