Overview - 
  
One of the pillars of the Department Transformation Program is to transform the way it uses data to develop policy and drive our service delivery. The Data and Analytics (D&A) work stream has been set up to support this goal. 
  
  
The Role
  
The successful candidate will be working in a team of data experts to process data requests from various business areas. This will involve liaising with the business areas to get clarity on the requirement and writing queries to extract the data and prepare curated datasets. These requests will help business areas understand their programs and contribute to policy development.
  
  
Mandatory qualifications and skills:

• Experience in preparing data for analytics purposes using existing datasets
• Experience in using SQL and database solutions
• Experience in data warehousing, ETL and ETL tools
• Skills in collecting and interpreting data
• Experience in use of the SAS tool set

  
Desirable qualifications and skills

• Skilled in using SAS VIYA
• Experience in working alongside teams within the business to establish business needs.

  
  
Time period

• Resource is required immediately until 30/06/2019 (with the possibility of extension)

Clearance Requirements - 
Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain baseline clearance.
