The Role
We’re looking for an experienced and self-motivated ServiceNow Developer to join our Business Systems team in our McMahons Point office. Reporting directly into the Head of Business Systems, you’ll be able to work with minimal supervision and have the capability to build, maintain, enhance, monitor and support ServiceNow custom and standard Applications. You’ll be required to create modules and application in ServiceNow for a range of business units across the organisation.
As part of the Business Systems team you’ll be delivering activities such as ServiceNow system improvement planning and integration, technical operational support, vendor oversight, and documentation.
A Day in the Life:
- Managing and coordinating all ServiceNow upgrades, releases, patches & hot fixes across ServiceNow environments (Production, Development, UAT)
- Developing business rules, client scripts (JavaScript), UI actions, UI Policies, form sections, notification events to meet the new business requirements in ServiceNow
- Design and development of new catalogue items, forms, workflows & content pages to accommodate and maintain Service Catalogue
- Creating and managing interfaces in ServiceNow via SOAP, Web Services, Emails and Schedule imports for bi-directional communication with external applications like GuesstApp, Prontos, InFlight and ITSM suites
- Developing custom ServiceNow applications
- Identify and develop ideas to improve the system functionalities making the tool user friendly
- Acts as a systems liaison when necessary and troubleshoots/resolves SNOW system issues that may arise.
- Create technical/operational test plans for new software patches and releases
The Person
- Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in IT or equivalent experience
- Good knowledge on Service Portal, Discovery and orchestration
- Hands on experience on creating scoped ServiceNow custom applications, state and process flows
- Proven experience with ServiceNow Development
- Knowledge of SQL server database environment and SQL tools
- Strong Java script skills
- Experience with development using a broad variety of integration techniques, patterns, tools and methodologies
- Experience with all phases of waterfall and Agile software development methodologies
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
