Attribute Group are on the search for a Senior Data Developer for a well known Australian name based in Sydney CBD.

To succeed you will need to be both a technical expert and commercially minded as you develop fit for purpose data solutions that give the organisation a unique view on its audience and the Australian consumer landscape.

The Senior Data Engineer will need to confidently communicate the businesses technical analytics roadmap and be comfortable “rolling up their” sleeves to implement it!

Personal Skills

• Strong communication skills and the ability to distill complex analytic and statistical approaches to their commercial and content essence
• Hiring and management of contractors and/or FTE resources
• Delivery and management of workload in a fast paced, agile environment
• A consultative and inquisitive approach
• A passion for data and “digging” into data problems
• Self-motivated and able to develop and implement data roadmaps over an 18 month horizon

Technical Skills

• Solve big problems with the latest data technologies (Airflow, Databricks, PySpark SQL to name a few)
• Python driven ETL frameworks, processes and platforms
• Experience in API-based data gathering
• Experience with cloud based data storage and processing
• Experience in architecting and developing modern analytics and machine learning capabilities (eg Map Reduce, Spark, Amazon services)
• Experience designing analytic applications that support visualisation and rapid decision making
