Requirements for experienced Fibre Designers in Sydney and Victoria.

Our client is seeking experienced FTTC Designers in Sydney, with a thorough understanding of MapInfo and AutoCAD.
 
Responsibilities:
  • End to end Design in FTTN/FTTC developments
  • Preparing complex drawings and documents using MapInfo
  • Editing and updating designs to reflect modifications and additions.
  • Reviewing drawings and designs to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Following established standards in regards to layering, dimensioning, text annotations, and other aspects of MapInfo usage.
  • Reviewing existing MapInfo drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
  • Editing, reworking, and updating CAD drawing files as required by network changes, modifications, additions, etc.
  • Where necessary, installing, configuring, and initiating MapInfo software, related hardware, and any other corresponding IT assets.
  • Populating and maintaining MapInfo information and Standards Library.
  • Proofreading and correcting documentation errors.
  • Preparing As-Built Drawing.
Experience:
  • 2+ years' experience in the Telecommunications Industry.
  • More than 1 year local design experience in Australia
  • Extensive experience with Mapinfo
  • nbn FTTN Design experience
  • nbn FTTC Design experience
  • Advanced pit, pipe and cable drafting experience with the ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Ability to create new designs from client brief / high-level design document.
  • Ability to read and interrupt as constructed drawings.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications typical Schedule of Rates and their application.
  • Knowledge of current Australian standards.
  • Effective time management skills and interest in working in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Telstra Pit and Pipe networks.
