About the Team
The Business Project Services team is a centralised function of dedicate delivery experts, responsible for professional services approach to project delivery.
The team provides an enterprise-wide delivery capability to successfully execute a portfolio of initiatives and projects aligned to EnergyAustralia’s strategic goals and vision.
About the role
The Business Analyst will work alongside the business to define and document business requirements and then liaise with the end users, system analysts, solution architect, vendor developers and testers to ensure the business requirements are understood. The focus of this role is on our energy trading system.
You will contribute to building a strong relationship between the business and IT, as well as contributes to business implementation tasks including training, business process mapping and business readiness.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define the solution boundaries and the scope of the deliverables.
- Represent the business throughout the project lifecycle to ensure requirements are met, tested and implemented successfully.
- Identify stakeholders who may be affected by the business need or a new solution and understanding stakeholder influence on and attitude towards the initiative
- Actively participate on the continuous improvement of the business analysis methodology.
What we’re looking for:
- Demonstrated experience in developing business cases and test cases.
- Experience in a trading environment with trading systems (Energy preferred but not essential)
- Effective business requirement gathering and management skills.
- Experience working within large and complex programs of work and in business processes relating to Customer Sales and Marketing.
