About the role

Your primary areas of accountability will be:

• Design UX/UI for commercial software, web applications & mobile apps
• Scope, design & build web development
• Continuous improvement and optimisation of existing systems & processes
• Manage web development including external contractors where required

And specific responsibilities will include:

• Involvement in all stages of digital product development including research, testing, inception, development, execution, analysis & engagement
• Gather & evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers & engineers
• UI/UX design prototyping (for web & mobile)
• Frontend development of web application UI's
• Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
• Develop innovative Web design concepts that balance functional requirements within budget constraints in defined time frames
• Determine all coding requirements for site creation including: e-commerce capability, forms, specialized scripts and all audio and video features
• Ensure search engine optimization and proper display of web pages on various devices & browsers

You have an artist style matched with technical ability that makes you an energetic developer keen to explore your graphic passion in a technical environment.

You will be great at:

• UI /UX design and development
• Creating & coding web design concepts
• Creating responsive design & mobile first approach
• Communicating – both written and spoken
• Knowledge of current web frameworks and exposure to source control practises

You will have:

• Minimum of 5 years on software products
• Experience in designing and iterating on web and mobile apps
• Strong technical capabilities using
• Adobe Illustrator
• Photoshop
• InDesign
• HTML 5
• CSS 3
• JavaScript
• Bootstrap (or equivalent)
• Angular
• Project management & scoping skills
• A can do attitude and outstanding work ethic
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team
• Capability to meet deadlines under pressure
