The role:

We are looking for a rockstar Software Developer (Automation) to be part of our smart, diverse, talented and passionate team!

Work on a ground-breaking cloud-based Internet of Things platform based on a lambda architecture with huge volumes of data flowing through hot, warm and cold data paths with a technology roadmap including SQL Azure, SQL Server, CosmosDb, Stream Analytics, Power BI, Spark and Azure Data Lake.

Reporting to the Software Delivery Manager, you will focus on designing and building test automation solutions that improve the efficiency of testing.

Responsibilities:

• Automate an integration test suite that follows a command and data flow from our solar inverter hardware through to a web portal and back again.
• Identify and continually improve the Test Automation strategy.
• Automation of testing on Microsoft IoT platform, web and mobile applications across hardware and software through automated UI testing, integration tests and simulators.
• Automation of regression test plans including tests cases in VSTS and based on regression strategy and priority.
• Design and implement load testing to automate the testing of scalability and performance metrics.
• Govern the automation frameworks and instruct and guide the team on building automated tests for their new features.
• Creation and maintain a regression test plan including tests cases in VSTS and based on requirements.
• Assist to identify, create and execute tests, including regression testing.
• Contribute with DevOps team for automation of build including incorporation of automated testing activities.
• Be aware of leading trends and emerging technologies in the test automation field and provide advice to the Software Development Manager and Chief Technology Officer.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years experience in creating and maintaining Automation Test framework using Selenium.
• University level degree in relevant field.
• C# programming capability.
• Visual Studio load testing or similar recommended product.
• Ability to write test plans and test cases.
• Experience testing Web and Mobile Apps (iOS, Android and UWP)
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
