LANSA’s R&D team is responsible for the development and maintenance of its award winning Rapid Application Development and Application Integration tools (www.lansa.com).

THE ROLE
- Using the IBM i Control Language (CLLE) and ILE RPG (RPGLE), own all new and old Install/Upgrade and Hot Fix management programs for all of LANSA’s IBM i platform products that are licensed to customers worldwide
- Create and maintain all ILE CL and RPG programs for IBM i system administration tasks such as for Backup and Recovery and for managing the scheduled and ad-hoc builds of all IBM i platform products
- Maintain and enhance parts of the LANSA for i product code
- Write Sample Applications using ILE RPG and CL
- Learn and master Visual LANSA (if not already proficient)
- Develop Sample Applications using Visual LANSA for inclusion in the Visual LANSA software payload
REQUIRED SKILLS
- In-depth understanding of the IBM i platform and Db2 for i
- The very best IBM i Control Language (CL) skills and good ILE RPG skills
- Demonstrable experience in developing IBM i applications using free-form ILE RPG
- Good skills in another programming language – Java or JavaScript or C#. This is mandatory.
- Demonstrable experience in developing applications using one of these other programming languages

- Strong communication and problem-solving skills as the role will involve talking with customers and staff in both the Product Centre and regional offices at different levels
- Willingness to plan and work to tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as a team member and to effectively contribute to team-based activities
