Continued business growth and internal staff development have resulted in new opportunities for recent ICT Engineer graduates to join PowerConnex, Australia's leader in advanced contact centre systems.  The technology is exciting and covers a broad range of technical disciplines, platforms, delivery and related telecommunications.

The key responsibility for this position is the provision of timely and effective advice, support and configuration to clients by:

  • Receiving and responding by telephone / email / chat to service desk requests for assistance with PowerConnex products and systems;
  • Customised programming development and customer driven solutions;
  • Investigating and resolving issues and/or faults;
  • Tracking the progress of requests and liaising as necessary with clients;

You will need

  • Degree level qualification in information technology;
  • Knowledge of Linux / Unix, Shell scripting, PHP, Perl and LAMP;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft products;
  • Knowledge of MS SQL Server, MySQL and SQL query writing skills;
  • Sound written and oral communication skills;
  • Excellent technical and problem solving skills;
  • High levels of personal integrity, reliability and professional standards;
  • The ability to work unsupervised or in teams to meet specific KPI's;

Desirable to have:

  • Experience in a support / help desk role or other customer service;
  • Understanding and experience with various networking and telecommunication protocols including TCP/IP, Routing, WAN/LAN, VoIP, QoS, Firewall and port forwarding;
  • Some experience with Web/HTML/RIAs;
  • Able to work rostered morning/day/evening and weekend shifts.
