Senior Network SME
Melbourne CBD
Contract (6 months + extensions)

Responsibilities

• Due-diligence of existing client’s solution, analyzing physical topology, logical interconnectivity, service dependency, application flows and security constraints.
• Creating designs and support documentation for the delivered infrastructure. Raising change records and executing activity while adhering to client’s processes and procedures.
• Support and trouble-shooting of network security devices and systems delivered as part of project and ensuring proper transition/handover to Operations Team.
• Provide technical subject matter expertise wherever required. Ensure proper communication and quick resolution as a crisis manager.
• Plan and schedule Changes, Coordinating with different stakeholders. .
• Participate in business meetings with various stake holders on a need basis.
• Effort estimation/reviews on need basis for new projects.
• Training of new team members. Able to work on Knowledge acquisition and updates to related documents
• Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.
• Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
• Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Reporting network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information; managing projects.

Skills

• Certified in CCNP with advanced knowledge on multiple vendor firewalls.
• F5 Load balancers: WAF , LTM and GTM
• Proxy: Bluecoat and Squid
• IPS: Cisco FirePower
• Tools: Knowledge on Tufin
• Management servers: Knowledge on ASDM and NSM.
• CCNP R&S and Security (Certification)

Experience

• 8+ Years of experience as a Senior Network Engineer
• Infrastructure and Datacenter services background
• SLA, contract & projects management
• Managing 24/7 global operations
• Solutioning, experience of managed services
