A leading and reputable global IT company is currently looking to hire an experienced Strategic Alliances Manager who will be accountable for leading and driving the alliance strategy and engagement for the company Oceania’s key strategic alliances and partnerships.

You will regularly and actively engage with top and senior executives of strategic partners to develop and expand partnerships at the strategic level in close alignment with the global business strategy and direction.

Key Accountabilities:

Oceania Alliance Executive Relationship

• Engage directly with key strategic alliance partners at a senior executive level (SAP, AWS, NetApp, Microsoft, Oracle, VMware, SFDC, ServiceNow)
• Lead the senior-executive level discussion with key partners to create and drive strategic engagement, collaborating globally with other leads.
• Drive and strengthen the relationship with key partnerships.

Alliance Strategy

• Accountable for the alliances strategy in Oceania, actively undertaking the alliance strategy discussion with leadership members of Oceania’s business (BAS, MIS, Products, etc.) ensuring close alignment with the Oceania business strategy and supporting business growth through an alliance partner eco-system
• Proactively work with HQ and Global Strategic Alliance teams to actively contribute to the global alliance strategy
• Provide Oceania proposals and feedback to HQ’s Business Units and other stakeholders as required

Alliance Transformation

• Lead and drive the transformation of the Oceania alliance organisation to further support the Oceania business and to work in alignment with global business strategy, especially focusing on the strategic areas such as cloud, mobility, security and IoT.

Alliance Partner Management

• Directly manage and support the activities of alliance partner managers and Partner Virtual Teams in Oceania’s alliance organisation to drive business growth through and with strategic alliance partners.
• Identifying and analysing market-specific business opportunities with a strategic alliance partner and implementing them with the business line.

Partner Funding

• Proactively manage partner funding opportunities with the support of the Partner Programme Manager
• Track and report on funds secured from partnerings including: Marketing Development, Business Investment, Training, Customer, Project Funding, Incentives & Rebates, Deal registrations to secure higher margins.

Key Requirements:

• At least 10 years of experience and successful track record in alliance or functions related to business development and collaboration with alliance partners either globally or regionally
• Masters or Bachelor’s degree, Management qualifications from a premier institute would be preferable
• Senior leadership skills gained from a cross-cultural and matrixed business environment
• Proven experience with an internationally recognized IT or consulting corporation
• Significant commercial and business operations experience on multi-country level
• Good understanding of the industry and trends
• Good understanding of Oceania markets
• Strong relationship management and communication skills at senior executive level
