Tara Valley Nursery requires an enthusiastic and experienced SQL Database Developer to facilitate our transition to a Microsoft SQL Server database management.
As part of the role you will be asked to facilitate incoming and outgoing electronic data transfers along with database management and reporting. In performing the transition to SQL you will also be developing an integrated general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounting process for use in the horticultural industry.
The company presently utilises a 2012 Windows Server Standard Edition hosting Firebird Database client server applications (Delphi XE4 compiler), in conjunction with Microsoft Word, Excel and other popular applications. Our new SQL system will be hosted on a 2016 Windows Server.
As a result, all applicants must be:

Experienced in Microsoft SQL Server.

Able to use or willing to learn Delphi programming.

Knowledgeable in IIS and PHP.
A comprehensive manual will be required with all programming to ensure complete traceability should future works be needed. The role will report directly to the Managing Director, but will be guided by a panel of department heads.
This position is flexible, with the role being available on a project-by-project basis or as a salaried employee. Please consider your situation and what will allow you to best perform the role.
