We are currently expanding and seeking a dynamic Town Planner to be based in our Bondi Junction office. Fully conversant with NSW planning regulations and practices, you will be a team player with a proven track record in the management of the planning process from site selection to planning approval.
Key responsibilities include:
- Liaise closely with clients and local Planning Authorities in relation to each planning instruction
- Site analysis and assessment including desktop study and field inspections
- Conducting field inspections
- Assist with the development and implementation of community consultation strategies
- Maintain accurate file notes per site instruction and to keep client correspondence up to date
- Inform client on site developments by ensuring accurate completion of weekly reports
- Liaise with Property and Design to achieve site delivery
- Develop and maintain industry awareness of the general town planning industry
The ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in planning
- Minimum of 2 years town planning industry experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, professional presentation
- Client liaison skills / interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational ability
- Skilled at sourcing new approaches and solutions
- Previous project management experience
- Knowledge of Telecommunication Infrastructure and Town Planning issues
- Knowledge of NSW Planning Law
- Experience with property acquisition procedures and relationship with planning
- Current drivers licence /own vehicle and able to travel within NSW
