We are a small customer service focused IT support provider based in Sydney's South providing IT consulting and support services to a diverse client base.  Our friendly and vibrant team supports a variety of environments and technologies, helping our clients stay up to date with emerging technologies while helping their businesses grow, and providing our team with some great career experiences and opportunities.

The role

A position is available for immediate start to a self motivated, enthusiastic and professional IT Support Technician with 1 - 2 years experience in an IT support role.  The role will involve providing onsite desk-side, remote and helpdesk support services to our clients all over Sydney, including potential for short to medium term placements in helpdesk roles with our clients as required.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing telephone, remote and onsite client support
  • Managing, monitoring and updating support tickets
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosis and rectification of customer faults
  • Repair, upgrade and installation of various hardware and software
  • Setup and support of Windows, Android and Apple mobile devices
  • Creating and maintaining customer system documentation
  • Participation in occasional 'out of hours' support tasks

If you are a junior technician, preferably a recent TAFE or University graduate, who has some experience in an IT support environment and are looking to take that next step in a role that provides you both the support to grow, and independence to gain your own experience in the IT support industry, then we will happily consider your application for the role along side a period of training and mentoring.

About you

You will be self motivated and well presented, with a passion for the IT industry and a genuine interest in enhancing your skills and abilities.  Minimum 1 - 2 years experience supporting Windows based network environments would be an advantage.

Essentials:

  • Excellent oral and written English language skills are essential
  • A current drivers license and your own transport
  • Experience or qualifications in IT support roles, with 1 - 2 years support experience preferred
  • Experience supporting Microsoft desktop operating systems in an Active Directory environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work proactively and independently
  • Excellent time management and problem solving skills with proven troubleshooting abilities
  • Present a professional appearance and attitude while providing our clients an excellent customer service experience
  • Meticulous attention to detail and be passionate about providing our clients an outstanding customer service experience

Beneficial:

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or similar
  • Experience supporting Apple, Android, and Microsoft mobile devices
  • Experience providing support in a business network environment including various network equipment and peripherals, Office 365, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange
  • Experience supporting VoIP, Audio Visual and Video Conferencing technnologies
  • Experience providing VIP support
  • Experience with or exposure to Virtualisation technologies
  • Willingness and ability to occasionally work flexible hours
