Ex Libris is seeking a Technical Project Manager to be based in Adelaide, Australia.

Job tasks and responsibilities

As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing Ex Libris products and services across Asia Pacific (APAC)
  • Participate and contributes in process improvement, global initiative, and work standardization across APAC
  • Act as overall primary point of contact for the customer project team
  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing requirements
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of project and scope
  • Perform Ex Libris product configuration, based on customer's requirements
  • Analyze and troubleshoot customer issues and requests, provide first line support to customers during implementation cycle
  • Provide product training to customers, via Web-based or on-site training

 

 

Skills and experience

Relevant education:

  • B.A./B.S. degree or equivalent qualification or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Masters' degree in Library Science will be an added advantage

Required professional experience

  • At least 2 years' relevant experience is required
  • Background in library workflows/standards is strongly preferred
  • Customer service experience in a library or other business/technical setting is desirable

Important skills / characteristics:

  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage several complex tasks concurrently and meet deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills; must be a team player
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including training ability.
  • Ability to learn new information quickly and keep up with rapidly changing products and processes
  • Technical skills including experience with UNIX, Oracle, HTML, CSS, XML, networking  and authentication protocols are desirable but not essential.
